Yvonne enjoys the Homa Bay County Students Leadership Forum.
Yvonne overcame many challenges to shine as a leader in her school and community. Her father has passed away, and Yvonne lives with her grandma. Her mother abandoned her after remarrying and moving away. She attended Chulaimbo Primary School until 2015 then joined Mawego Girls Secondary School, where she is excelling in her final year. Currently, she is the students’ president and also serves as a representative of the Homa Bay County Students Leadership Forum, which brings together outstanding individuals from many schools.
Umoja staff members say that, in addition to being a leader at her school, Yvonne is one of the best academic achievers among all of our students. Keep up the good work, Yvonne!
