The Umoja Alumni Chapter demonstrates how we are Changing Communities One Child at a Time.

This group of former Chulaimbo students stays connected to the Umoja family (and each other!) even as they pursue careers and post-secondary education throughout Kenya. They gathered on December 28 to discuss ways to support younger students.

The students we work with have lost one or both parents and families often struggle to meet basic needs, like food and shelter. Umoja staff and volunteers work with teachers and guardians to support these vulnerable children.

This year the Umoja Alumni have committed to sponsoring one secondary student! They know firsthand the challenges that our students face and are committed to helping younger children achieve success.
