Umoja Students Outperform National Average on KCSE Exam

The results are in!
22% of Umoja students scored high enough on the mandatory KCSE exam to qualify for direct admission to university in Kenya. This is well above the national average of 11.4% of students taking the comprehensive exam.
The KCSE, Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, testing takes place over several weeks in the fall and covers seven subject areas. Students are required to sit for the test at the completion of secondary education coursework. A student’s KCSE score determines the type of post-secondary education he or she can pursue. Those who score very well receive direct admission to university with some financial assistance.
