The new school year is well underway in Kenya, and we are excited to have a record 135 Umoja scholars in secondary (high) school. The Kenyan government is now covering a portion of the cost to attend secondary school, and donors like you are filling the gap!
This year 72 students scored well enough on the primary school exam to meet our scholarship requirements. Our goal is to raise enough funding for all of our qualified students to attend secondary school. With generous sponsors in Kenya and the U.S., we believe that goal is within reach. In Kenya, they are supporting 14 students this year!
